Ipods

Who does this pertain to? All students.
What is going on? Teachers are banning ipods because of possible cheaters.
When is this happening? Many schools have already begun to ban ipods.
Where is this happening? Schools all over the states and even other countries like Canada and Austrailia.
Why are they banning ipods? Teachers feel that since some students are using their ipods for cheating purposes that everyone should not be allowed to use them at all.

I disagree to this article because I think it is unfair to those students not using their ipods for cheating. Many students use their ipods just to listen to music and relax. On the other hand, yes there are those who cheat, but they should just have their own punishments. If ipods are banned from everyone, the students that cheat will find a way to cheat anyways. March 2nd

The first article I read was about the earthquake in Chile. People had been warned, yet most people did not make it out alive. The destruction of the town was crazy, and many people became homeless. On top of everything, looting became a big problem that troops had to take care of.

The next article I read was about global warming. The number of people that believe in this problem have gone down and less and less people care about it at all. The fact that we have increased in snow makes it hard to convice people that global warming is getting worse, when in fact scientist have said that warmer temperatures cause for greater evaporation from the ocean.

The last article I read was about a European storm. This hurricane type storm destroyed many homes and cause for millions of electricty to go out. There were also dangerous mudslides developed. People died all over the country and the storm messed up many towns.

Overall the stories were very similar because they are all tragic events. All three articles were very informative of different weather situations. They also all made me feel more aware of things that could possible happen in the future. The articles were all written in a way to tell people a story and make them feel a sence of saddness and awareness.

The article that mostly got me interested was the one about the tsunami. It made me sad for all the people who lost their homes or more importantly, loved ones. The situation is sad also because the city was destroyed, which means a whole lot of cleaning up for everyone.
