Fiddler on the Roof

Fiddler on the Roof
Released November 3,1971
In Russia, Jewish family.
They sing about all the traditions for each person of their place.
The matchmaker comes to marry off the daughters.
The daughters sing a song about the matchmaker, they want a good guy but they are from a poor family so they probably won't get exactly who they want.
They marry the daughters off in order, the younger ones cant get married until the oldest one is.
The guy the matchmaker picked out is older, but he is rich.
The guy sings a song about how if he was rich he wouldnt have to work, and he would have a whole lot of stuff, nice house, and his wife would look very nice.
There was a paper talking about Jewish people in other parts of Russia where they had been kicked out of their homes.
A new guy comes into town and offers to teach they mans daughters the Bible.
The oldest daughter and this guy have a secret relationship and she tries to get him to talk to her dad to ask for permission, but he is too scared.
They sing a song about the Sabbath.
The dad ends up giving permission to the older guy to marry his daughter, he decided that he is a nice guy.
The teacher likes the second oldest daughter and tells her that everywhere else they dont follow traditions and he had her dance with him.
The daughter begged her dad to not have to marry the older man and the tailor showed up and finally asked her dad if he could marry her.
